The Boy Who Carried His Dreams

ছেলেটি (The Boy) যে বহন করত (Who Carried) তার স্বপ্নগুলো (His Dreams)

In (ভিতরে) a small (ছোট) village (গ্রাম) in (ভিতরে) northern (উত্তরের) Bangladesh (বাংলাদেশ), lived (বাস করত) a boy (ছেলে) named (নামের) Hasan (হাসান)। He (সে) wasn’t (জন্ম নেয়নি) born (জন্মেছিল) into (মধ্য) comfort (সাচ্ছন্দ্য)।

His (তার) father (বাবা) was (ছিলেন) a rickshaw puller (রিকশাচালক), and (এবং) his (তার) mother (মা) worked (কাজ করতেন) as (হিসাবে) a domestic helper (গৃহকর্মী)।

They (তারা) had (পেতো) only (মাত্র) one (একটি) meal (ভোজন) most (বেশিরভাগ) days (দিনে) — rice (ভাত) with (সাথে) salt (লবণ) or (অথবা) lentils (ডাল)।

But (কিন্তু) Hasan (হাসান) had (ছিল) something (কিছু) special (বিশেষ) a dream (স্বপ্ন)।

He (সে) wanted (চেয়েছিল) to become (হতে) a doctor (ডাক্তার), not (না) just (শুধু) to earn (উপার্জন করতে) money (টাকা), but (বরং) to help (সাহায্য করতে) others (অন্যদের)।(প্রতিটি) morning (সকাল), Hasan (হাসান) would (হতো) wake (জেগে উঠত) before (আগে) sunrise (সূর্যোদয়).

He (সে) wanted (চেয়েছিল) to become (হতে) a doctor (একজন ডাক্তার), not just (শুধু না) to earn (উপার্জন করতে) money (টাকা), but (বরং) to help (সাহায্য করতে) others (অন্যদের) like (মতো) his ailing (অসুস্থ) father (বাবা) who (যিনি) couldn’t (পারে না) afford (ভার বহন করতে) treatment (চিকিৎসা)।

Every (প্রতিদিনের) morning (সকাল), Hasan (হাসান) would wake (ঘুম থেকে উঠত) before (আগে) sunrise (সূর্যোদয়), help (সাহায্য করত) his mother (তার মাকে) collect (আনতে) water (পানি), sweep (ঝাঁট দিত) the yard (আঙিনা), and then (তারপর) walk (হাঁটত) 3 kilometers (৩ কিলোমিটার) barefoot (খালি পায়ে) to the village (গ্রামের দিকে) school (স্কুলে)।

He (তার) had no (ছিল না) books (বই) of his own (নিজস্ব), he borrowed (ধার করত) from others (অন্যদের কাছ থেকে), took notes (নোট করত) on torn pages (ফাটা পাতায়), and studied (এবং পড়াশোনা করত) under (নিচে) the streetlight (রাস্তায় বাতির) when (যখন) electricity (বিদ্যুৎ) failed (না থাকত)।

His classmates (তার সহপাঠীরা) laughed (হাসত) at (উপহাস করত) his torn uniform (ফাটা পোশাক) and (এবং) his lunch (তার দুপুরের খাবার) of plain rice (সাদাভাত)। But (কিন্তু) Hasan (হাসান) smiled (হেসে উঠত)।

He knew (সে জানত) his books (তার বই) didn’t need to be (নতুন হওয়ার প্রয়োজন নেই), his dream (তার স্বপ্ন) just (শুধুই) needed (প্রয়োজন ছিল) to be strong (শক্তিশালী হওয়ার)।

During the day (দিনের বেলায়), he worked (সে কাজ করত) at (একটি) a local tea stall (স্থানীয় চায়ের দোকানে) to earn (উপার্জন করতে) a few coins (কিছু কয়েন)। At night (রাতে), he studied (সে পড়ত) relentlessly (নিরবিচারে)।

Physics (পদার্থবিজ্ঞান), Biology (জীববিজ্ঞান), English (ইংরেজি), Math (গণিত) — everything (সবকিছু) that would take (যা তাকে নিয়ে যেত) him closer (নিয়ে আসত) to his dream (তার স্বপ্নের কাছাকাছি)।

Years (বছর) passed (পেরিয়ে গেল)। On his third attempt (তার তৃতীয় চেষ্টায়), Hasan (হাসান) finally (শেষ পর্যন্ত) got accepted (ভর্তি হল) into Dhaka Medical College (ঢাকা মেডিকেল কলেজে)।

His parents (তার বাবা-মা) cried (কেঁদে ফেলেছিল)। The whole village (পুরো গ্রাম) celebrated (উল্লাস করেছিল)।

But (কিন্তু) even at college (কলেজেও), life (জীবন) wasn’t easy (সহজ ছিল না)। He gave tuitions (সে প্রাইভেট পড়াত), shared food (খাবার ভাগ করত) with friends (বন্ধুদের সাথে), and (এবং) often (প্রায়ই) skipped meals (খাবার না খেয়ে থাকত)।

Yet (তবুও) he (সে) never (কখনোই) gave up (হাল ছাড়েনি)।

Years later (বছর পরে), a small clinic (একটি ছোট ক্লিনিক) opened (খুলেছিল) in his village (তার গ্রামে)। A nameplate (নেমপ্লেট) outside (বাইরে) read (লিখা ছিল): “Dr. Md. Hasan – MBBS, DMC”।

People (মানুষ) now (এখন) call him (তাকে ডাকে) “Doctor Bhai” (ডাক্তার ভাই) — not just because (শুধু তাই নয় যে) he treats them (সে তাদের চিকিৎসা করে), but because (বরং এজন্য যে) he listens (সে শোনে), he understands (সে বোঝে), he cares (সে খেয়াল রাখে)।

Moral (মূল শিক্ষা):

সফলতা (Success) টাকা (money) বা সুবিধা (privilege) থেকে আসে না। এটি আসে কঠোর পরিশ্রম (hard work), সততা (honesty), এবং একটানা স্বপ্ন (unshakable dream) থেকে।
